Leading from the Front Chairs’ Event 2026

We are excited to invite Community Futures Chairs to this year’s"Leading from the Front" Chairs’ Event", taking place on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Delta Hotels Calgary Airport  in Calgary, Alberta.

This event continues to be an important opportunity for Chairs from across the Pan West Network to come together, connect with one another, share ideas, and strengthen their leadership role within Community Futures.

We have also heard from a number of Chairs who would like the opportunity to have their Vice-Chair attend alongside them. We are pleased to share that this year, Vice-Chairs are welcome to attend as well.

As in previous years, there is no cost for the Chair to attend. To make the registration options clear:

• If the Chair is attending, there is no registration fee for the Chair.
• If the Chair is unable to attend, the Vice-Chair may attend in their place at no cost.
• If the Chair is attending and would like to bring their Vice-Chair, we would be pleased to welcome the Vice-Chair as well. Vice-Chairs attending alongside their Chair may register for a fee of $165, which helps cover meals for the day and the evening networking reception.

This year, we are also making a small change to how the event is supported. In past years, CF Pan West provided $400 reimbursement to Community Futures offices after a Chair attended the event. For 2026, rather than providing that reimbursement, those funds will be invested directly into the event program.

This will allow us to bring in strong speakers, enhance the overall learning experience, and continue growing Leading from the Front into a meaningful leadership event for Chairs across the region.

While we recognize this is a change from previous years, we believe it will provide greater overall value by strengthening the quality of the day and creating an event that is practical, engaging, and worthwhile for those attending. In addition, Managers will be joining Chairs for the evening networking reception on November 4, creating another opportunity for connection and conversation across the network.
